The Netherlands vs the rest of Europe for European logistics
There has been a logistics benchmark study on four European countries: The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Fance. The study shows that the Limburg region scores among the best in terms of total supply chain costs within the Netherlands (see table). This is largely due to its favorable location relative to Europe’s main consumer markets, a competitive transport market (for both inbound- and out- bound transport) and the fiscal climate. Limburg is therefore the ideal region for European logistics.
An excellent qualitative score for The Netherlands
The locations in The Netherlands score best on qualitative factors. The main drivers are the labor climate and the regulatory and customs environments. The Netherlands scores better than surrounding countries in terms of labor flexibility, such as hiring and firing regulations. The Netherlands also benefits from a strong position in intermodal hinterland networks (barge, rail). This makes The Netherlands, and especially Limburg, an ideal location for global and Europeanlogistic opportunities.Click here to download the report
